陆游（1125—1210），南宋伟大的爱国诗人，字务观，号放翁，越州山阴（今浙江绍兴）人。

陆游一生处在民族矛盾异常尖锐的时代。宋徽宗宣和七年（1125）冬，金女真贵族率兵南侵，中原大好河山沦陷。翌年，北宋 王朝覆亡。宋高宗建炎元年（1127），赵构建立南宋小朝廷，对金妥协，自此偏安江南一隅。陆游自幼受先辈爱国思想的熏陶，痛 心山河破碎，一生“忧国复忧民”。虽历经坎坷，然收复中原，统一祖国的信念始终未泯，表现了一个爱国者的崇高精神和坚定意志。
